    In "Aporia," Sophie (Judy Greer) loses her husband Mal (Edi Gathegi) in a drunk-driving incident. Since the incident Sophi has struggled to manage crippling grief, a full time job, and the demands of parenting her devastated teenage daughter (Faithe Herman). When her husband's best friend Jahir (Payman Maadi), a former physicist, reveals that he has been building a time-bending machine that could restore her former life, Sophie will be faced with an important choice––and unforeseeable consequences.     Special features include a behind-the-scenes featurette (HD 18:32), the trailer and upfront previews.

    The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 2K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits low resolution and softness throughout. The color palette appears generally realistic with natural hues. Flesh tones appear natural. Contrast is compressed with non-descriptive shadows, inferior black levels but generally natural white levels. Overall, picture quality is mediocre. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused with decent spatial integration for the most part but at times ADR is wanting in the positioning within the soundstage. As well, dialogue is not always perfectly clear. Atmospherics are unclear though surround enveloping. The synthesizer/string score is forward sounding with a wide soundstage presence and extension to the surrounds. This is mediocre holosonic® soundtrack. (Gary Reber)
