"Talk To Me" is a blend of a ghost tale with modern sensibilities of a horror-thriller. When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits with an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, unleasing terrifying supernatural forces. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary with Co-writer-Director Danny Philippou and Director Michael Philippou, the featurette "In The Grip Of Terror" (HD 13:28), seven deleted scenes (HD 06:54), theatrical trailer and a digital copy.

The 2.39:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 4K Ultra HD HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally using the Arri Alexa Mini LF camera system and sourced from a 4K Digital Intermediate. Picture quality is superb with exemplary clarity and sharpness, yet cinematic. The color palette is excellent with perfectly natural hues that are nicely saturated. The homes in which the "Let Me In" events occur exhibit realism and superb object texture. Exteriors also are perfectly natural in appearance. Flesh tones throughout reveal nuanced complexions and appear natural. Hues overall are nuanced in shadings. HDR contrast is well balanced with natural black levels, revealing shadows and non-exaggerated white levels. Resolution is impeccable with fine detail exhibited in facial features such as skin pores, lines, and hair. Object and structural textures are finely resolved, as well as clothing fabrics. This is a superb picture that is well crafted with really emotionally disturbing imagery. (Gary Reber)

The Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is dynamic sounding with a dark sonic signature expressed in a deep bass foundation that permeates much of the time. At times, bass extends to sub-25 Hz frequencies. The synthesizer score is heavy bass driven and comprises a wide and deep soundstage that aggressively extends to the surrounds for an enveloping soundfield experience. Atmospherics are realistic sounding throughout. Sound effects are integral to the hand's rite proceedings and to the violence that erupts. The execution of the sound effects is very effective with panning and discrete localization. There are segments of heavy thunder and rain, which sound realistic and dynamic. Surround energy is often intense with directionalization. Dialogue is Australian English and at times a bit difficult to grasp. Subtitles, which appear below the 2.39:1 framing help tremendously for following the dialogue.

The Immersive Sound element is nicely active and enhances the spatial dimensionality. The elements include an aggressive extension of the synthesizer score, din and environmental atmospherics, intense sound effects, thunder and rain and other effects. This is a well crafted height layer.

This is really spooky horror/thriller holosonic® spherical surround soundtrack that is often frightening. (Gary Reber)
