    "Rosemary's Baby" is a title in the Paramount Scares Collection Volume 1. The film tells the story of a young couple who move into an apartment, only to be surrounded by peculiar neighbors and occurrences. When the wife (Mira Ferrel) becomes mysteriously pregnant, paranoia over the safety of her unborn child begins to control her life. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include the featurettes "Rosemary's Baby –– A Rerospecive" (SD 16:58) and "Mia And Roman" (SD 23:04), theatrical trailer and 50th anniversary "Redband" trailer, and a digital copy.

    The 1.85:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 4K Ultra HD HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed on 35mm film stock and sourced from a 4K Digital Intermediate.This is a beautifully filmic picture with a vey fine grain field. The imagery is sharp and clear, the color palette is nicely saturated with rich and warm hues, Primaries are strong and vivid. The entire color palette exhibits nuanced hue shadings. Flesh tones are perfectly natural. HDR contrast is effectively balanced with natural black levels, revealing shadows and white levels that illuminate many scenes. HDR contrast reveal good black levels and revealing shadow delineation. White levels appear natural. Resolution is excellent with fine detail, especially during closeups. Facial features reveal skin pores, lines and hair. Rosemary's and Guy's apartment is realistic with fine object textures throughout. Clothing fabrics are finely detailed as well. This is a great looking picture with a wonderful color palette, Fans of this horror thriller classic will be pleased. (Gary Reber)

    The Dolby TrueHD 2.0 monaural soundtrack's dialogue is intelligible throughout with excellent spatial integration. The orchestral score is haunting and at times very energetic. Foley is precise. Sound effects and atmospherics sound realistic. While undistinguished when measured against today's Immersive Sound soundtracks, the soundtrack' monaural design is effective. (Gary Reber)
