    "Terms Of Endearment" is romantic comedy that follows the ups and downs of a mother-daughter relationship with honesty, heart, and humor. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include commentary with Director James L. Brooks, Co-Producer Penney Finkelman Cox, and Production Designer Polly Platt, the interview "Filmmaker Focus With James L. Brooks" (HD 13:57), theatrical trailer and a digital copy.

    The 1.85:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 4K Ultra HD Dolby Vision/HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed on film using the Panavision Panaflex camera system and sourced from a 4K Digital Intermediate restoration overseen by Director James L. Brooks.The imagery is somewhat soft at times, but closeups expose finer detail in facial features such as skin pores, lines, makeup, and hair. Objects also are sharp and costumes fabrics are detailed. Color fidelity is excellent with rich and warm hues that exhibit hue shading nuances. Colors appear perfectly natural and realistic. Flesh tones are perfectly natural. HDR contrast is superb with natural black levels and revealing shadows. White levels are nicely illuminated, This is a gorgeous picture that exhibits bright warmly captured imagery that is compelling and emensely satisfying. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused throughout and perfectly projects the essence of the wonderful characters. Atmospherics are convincingly realistic in defining the settings. Sound effects enhance the realism. The orchestral score is wonderfully light and airy. The music is the dominant sound element aside the dialogue and extends to the surrounds and envelops the soundfield. Dialogue is well integrated spatially and intelligible throughout. This is a very pleasant holosonic® soundtrack that perfectly complements the warm hearted story. (Gary Reber)
