    The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photographed digitally and sourced from a 2K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits a fine layer of digital noise, which softens fine resolution detail. The color palette is centered on the interior of a house. Colors are darkly saturated with often reddish lighting effects used as dramatic effect. Contrast is acceptable with deep blacks though shadow delineation is, for the most part, poor. White levels rarely are bright but standout in the dark interior setting. Overall, this is a low budget production with mediocre visual quality. (Gary Reber)

    The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused with a background of outdoor blizzard atmospherics. Both Foley and other sound effects create the tension as the story unfolds. Deep bass is prominent as a dramatic effect. Bass can extend deep to sub-25 Hz frequencies. The music is synthesizer-created with a tendency toward low frequencies. Surrounds are active and at times aggressive. Dialogue is intelligible with generally good spatial integration. The monster voicing is deep and scary sounding. Overall, this is a effective sounding holosonic® soundtrack that delivers horrific energy. (Gary Reber)
