    In "Mean Girls (Burn Book)", after being home-schooled in Africa for 12 years by her research zoologist parents, 16-year-old Cady (Lindsay Lohan) finds herself entering high school in the United States. Anxious to make friends, she is thrilled to be included as one of The Plastics, the most popular girls in school. But it isn't long before Cady sees what "Mean Girls" they can be, and in turn discovers something new about herself. Based on the book "Queen Bees and Wannabes" by Rosalind Wiseman. (Tricia Spears)

    Special features include commentary by Director Mark Waters, Screenplay Writer and Actress Tina Fey, and Producer Lorne Michaels; four featurettes: the new "Mean Girls: Class of ’04", "Only The Strong Survive" (SD 24:52), "The Politics Of Girl World" (SD 10:33), and "Plastic Fashion" (SD 10:25); a Word Vomit blooper reel (SD 05:44); nine deleted scenes with optional commentary by Waters and Fey; three interstitials, which are similar to short commercials; the theatrical trailer and a digital copy.

    The 1.78:1 2160p HEVC/H.265 4K Ultra HD Dolby Vision/HDR10 picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photograph on film stock using the Arriflex 435, Panavision Panaflex Millennium, Panavision Panaflex Platinum and Panavision Panaflex Gold camera systems and sourced from a new 4K Digital Intermediate. Grain structure is never objectionable. The picture ia sharp and detailed with Imagery that is expectedly bright and colorful. Facial feature detail is excellent as well as detail displayed in object textures scattered about in classrooms, the school cafeteria, mall boutiques and bedrooms. Hues are warm and vibrant. Flesh tones appear natural. Contrast is well-balanced with deep blacks, revealing shadows and bright white levels. The picture is pristine throughout. This is a very colorful picture that is sure to please. (Gary Reber)

    The Dolby TrueHD 5.1-channel soundtrack creates a great soundstage across the front three screen channels throughout the entire film, but rarely uses the surrounds, unless filling the room with the pop-rock musical soundtrack. LFE activity is extremely rare, even when bass gets into the lower frequencies. Bass extension is good, though, and gets down to the 25 Hz range at times, particularly to reenforce the musical beats. Fidelity is excellent, and dialogue sounds very natural. Overall, this is a satisfying soundtrack. (Gary Reber)
